Bone weapons made for the monstrous faction of the Dragons of Kar´tun. Made during my internship at Playwood Project for the game Successor with the help and supervision of Johannes Donner Schackinger.
I had the Pleasure of doing three unique weapons for the factions to use, A great dragon skull hammer for the faction leader, a fire staff for the shaman and an axe made from a jawbone for the basic units. As the faction is meant to be relatively primitive without much concern for crafting their own materials, I wanted to make simple and crude weapons that reflect their ferocity. I thus stuck mostly to bone and leather, with some metal only on the leader’s hammer, perhaps scavenged from a past fight. To add some more details, I added the painted patterns in mostly shades of blue to match their faction banner.
As the Faction worships the mighty dragons I wanted to reflect it in their weapons. Such as a jawbone, the skull and the teeth and other small bones from the staff all scavenged from the once mighty beast. The fiery emission of the hammer and staff added a nice flare to hint at their danger and past/present powers.
The materials for the display base, rocks and plants have not been made by me.
